Apartments are fully equipped with all requirements for a comfortable holiday. We would like to inform you about some additional details of the town. Beaches - swimming and sunbathing Baška has a lot of large shingle beaches. In 1908 the beaches pushed the development of tourism in Baška on. Baška is considered as a seaside and health resort. Beside swimming in crystal clear sea-water and sunbathing, the air is fresh and healthy, saturated with sea-salt and refreshed occasionally by the north wind (bura) blowing from Velebit. The colour of the sea gives a special charm to Baška's beaches. It is a mesmerizing colour difficult to determine, sometimes greenish blue, sometimes a deep blue. The area around Baška has approximately thirty beaches. The biggest and longest one is called “Vela plaža“. It is 2 km long and located in the city centre of Baška. It is a natural pebbly beach with a sea bottom consisting of fine sand which doesn't make the water muddy.It is suitable for families with children and for nonswimmers. There are a lot of cafes, restaurants, bakeries and other shop located around the beach. It is also possible to rent various beach equipment, e.g. deck chairs, sunshades, canoes and surf boards. Since 1999 Baška has the Blue Flag. It stands for clean sea and beach. For those who prefere smaller beaches, Baška has beautiful beaches around the bay. It is not possible to reach these beaches by car or by bike, but only by foot or boat. The essence of their attractiveness lies in their seclusion, peace and romance. All information and maps with marked walking paths that lead to these beaches and bays can be obtained in any tourist agency. Here are some of these secluded localities: Bunculuka, Jablanova, Storišće, Vrženica, Vela luka, Mala luka, Stražica, Smokva, etc Baška's vistas If you prefere active holidays and true contact with the nature it is also possible to hike in Baska. There are 16 marked trails with a length of over 80 km. Maps can be obtained in every travel agency.
