The luxurious villa Itea invites you to a dream vacation in the fairy-tale town of Vabriga on the northwestern coast of Istria. In addition to the rich gastronomic offer and beautiful beaches within easy reach, Istria offers you the opportunity to explore the numerous wine roads for which this Croatian region is famous.
Villa Itea occupies an area of ??180 m2 and is built in a contemporary style with contrasting surfaces of minimalist design and has an accommodation capacity for a maximum of 8 people. Of the 4 bedrooms with fully equipped ensuite bathrooms, one is located on the ground floor and the other 3 on the upper floor of the villa. A washing machine and iron are at your disposal. Each room has its own terrace with a view of the greenery and untouched nature. On the ground floor of the villa there is a spacious dining room with a kitchen and a living room equipped with a corner sofa, coffee table, fireplace, play station and board games.
On the terrace of the villa there is a beautiful swimming pool measuring 26 m2 and 1.5 m deep with an additional hydromassage option on one side of the pool. There are 8 sun loungers around the pool, and there is also an outdoor dining table and an outdoor barbecue. Villa Itea has many other entertainment facilities such as bicycles or electric scooters. There are 3 parking spaces available in the fully fenced courtyard of the villa.
The villa's surroundings offer the pleasure of romantic walks in untouched nature, and on the nearest beach, less than 2 km from the villa, you can enjoy water sports and the beautiful Adriatic Sea. Nearby is a mysterious cave called Baredine, where you will discover a real treasure trove of underground sculptures arranged in five halls.
The Baredine cave also hides a legend from the 13th century, a love story about the nobleman Gabriel who falls in love with the shepherdess Milka. Gabriel's mother resisted their love, so hired robbers threw the girl into a pit. Gabriel then disappeared with his horse, and shortly afterwards they found only the horse near the exit of another pit nearby. According to legend, the petrified body of the shepherdess slides deeper and deeper into the pit every day to meet her beloved on the other side.
Istria is a fairy tale not only because of its diverse and interesting sites, but also because of its numerous medieval fortresses and towns that bear witness to the rich history of this region. For example, the town of Motovun in the center of Istria is a veritable hotbed of medieval fortresses, and a film festival is held there in the summer months.
On the Istrian coast, you will find urban centers such as Umag, Poreč, Rovinj, or Pula that date back to pre-antique times. For example, in Pula in the south of the Istrian peninsula, you will be able to see the Roman amphitheater, which is also known as the largest preserved monument from antiquity. A little further north, in the town of Poreč, you can see a unique complex of early Christian sacral architecture from the 6th century, which is one of the most beautiful preserved monuments of Byzantine art.
Istria also has a rich food and wine offer, given that it is a region with an extremely favorable geographical position, today the best wines and olive oil come from Istria. Do not miss trying other interesting recipes such as Istrian Boškarin meat, intense truffles or traditionally made pasta.
